June 2026

Well a year has past since I last released an album/CD of my recorded tunes. So I present here my favorite recordings from the last year. Last year was rough for me as my beautiful wife Heather passed away. Recording songs have given me a purpose and helped me through the tough times.

NOTE: This page offers only a small selection of the music I have recorded over the years. My goal is to record all of my favorite songs I grew up with and any other new songs that have grabbed my attention. My main music page is here.

For the most part I played all of the instruments used during these recording  (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, synthesizers and various percussion instruments) and sing most of the vocal parts in every song. My friend, Paul Douglass, played drums,  congas or cajon on many of these songs and sings background on others. Chris Redd played lead guitar on  many of these tunes as well. If you hear a nice lead part, it is probably Chris playing it.

Also, to make these cover songs my own, I sometimes change lyrics, add parts that didn't exist in the original, leave out parts I didn't think were necessary or possibly change the order of verses. For these and many other reasons, these song might not sound like what you were expecting. I hope you like them anyway.

-- I want to make one thing perfectly clear --
I record these songs with total respect for the artists that wrote and performed them originally. I never have and never will try to make any money on these recordings. These songs cannot be sold for any reason because I don't own the rights to any of the songs. I record these songs for myself, my family and my friends only, never to make money.

It is best to listen to these tunes with headphones as that is how I recorded and mixed them.
A couple of beers or a glass of wine might also help you enjoy listening.

This is the title song for the album/CD as I love the sentiments in this tune. Be kind to everyone. Everyone should take the advise in this song seriously.
Paul and I have never attempted a Reggae song before so this is a first for us and I think we pulled it off OK.
Mihali
Love Potion #9
A song from my childhood (it came out in 1959) that I remember singing in the car when my family was going to and from Riverside California to visit my grandparents. Paul played cajon bongos on this tune and my friend Chuck played piano and lead guitar. This is my first musical collaboration with Chuck and I think it turned out great.

Paul tells me that this is the 60th song we have recorded together over the years. Wow, amazing.
The Searchers
In Your Ocean
I heard this song a while back and liked it so much I had to record it. I wish I could sing it like in the original recording but I can't so I do the best I can. Paul played drums and Chris played lead guitar on this tune.
Iron & Wine
Singing New World
I recently got to participate in a Universal Dance for Peace gathering put on by my friend Valerie. For this dance I got to play guitar with my other friend Dave who played mandolin. We played songs from all around the world that all promote peace, love and togetherness. One of the songs we played was called, "We Are Singing A New World Into Existence". This song has a haunting melody which stuck in my head for a couple of weeks so I decided I had to record it. In this recording I am joined by Valerie who sang a vocal part and Dave who played mandolin.

No King For What It's Worth
A terrible corruption of the famous Buffalo Springfield song with lyrics modified by me to reflect the current political environment.
Buffalo Springfield
In Front Of Me Now
Paul played the drums and sang background on this tune and Chris did all of the guitar parts.
Nada Surf
Gild The Lily
Paul played drums on this song.
